My name is Altino Demelo and I’ve worked as a Graphic Artist and Production Designer in the industry for over 14 years. My background has been in layout, print media, and brand identity. I’ve been responsible for all production design at the Insurance Institute of Canada and it’s affiliates since 1999. Working as a Production Designer and Graphic Artist for The Insurance Institute has allowed me to be a part of all the internal and external work for clients nationwide.
My work has been published in such magazines as Canadian Underwriter, BC Broker, Top Broker and Maclean’s.
I graduated from Humber College’s Advertising and Graphic Design program and subsequently its Desktop Publishing program. This fall of 2015, I am excited to have returned to Humber to enhance my skills in Web Design and perhaps change course in a Web Developer roll.

I think it’s so interesting that we both share a background in graphic arts. I was never a graphic designer but worked as a print production co-ordinator. I think the skills and principles that we learned in the print industry can definitely apply to the online world.
